It's a pleasure to present Philippe Le Miere's beautiful 'Mother Earth', fresh from hanging as a finalist in the recent Williamstown Festival Contemporary Art Prize. This is an exquisitely presented work representative of Le Miere's journey into the human psyche. To quote Le Miere from the catalogue entry:

"Within my work titled 'Mother Earth' three trees come together along the banks of a stream. Each tree, rooted to an almost pregnant undulating earth, gestures anthropomorphically. Down the centre runs the life giving waters nurturing this fecund landscape. These feminine symbols combine to embody the mother archetype."
